Payton is three weeks old and putting on the pounds, well I guess it’s more like ounces. At her two week checkup she weighed 6 lbs 13 oz, so she is probably close to 7 lbs by now. She is starting to act more alert and will make eye contact when we look at her. We find ourselves staring at her and time seems to slow down, sometimes even stop. Who knew you could get so excited when a baby smiles, puckers her lips or raises her eye brows. These first three weeks have definitely been tough, but it is all worth it.
She did really well during her first shopping trip, so I think she might be a natural. Not something her dad will appreciate. We are looking forward to her first Christmas and excited for her to meet more of her relatives and friends!
