Saturday we went to the Taste of Lincolnshire, where we had a great lunch. We then headed back home so the kiddos could get in a nap and after that hit up the pool. It was incredibly hot that day and wouldn’t you it, as soon as we get to the pool it got cloudy. Sunday we went down to the Navy Pier and went on a boat tour on the Chicago River. I had never been to the pier or seen much of downtown, so that was a lot of fun. The weekend wouldn’t have been complete without a few games of baseball in the backyard. I can’t believe how good Connor is!
We again left in the evening hoping Payton would sleep most of the way and this time it panned out. She was asleep within the first 10 minutes and slept the whole way home. We had so much fun and wish we could see them more often!
Payton turned eight months old last week and is growing up so fast! She has two teeth!! Her front two teeth on the bottom broke through about a week ago. She also had her first fever earlier this week. She wanted to be held a lot and was a little cranky, but other than that acted fine. We have been lucky so far as she has only been sick one other time since she was born, which was just a slight cold.
She is still content to just sit and play with whatever is next to her so hasn’t starting crawling or scooting yet. We have been going for a lot of walks and have gone to the pool a couple times. She loves the lazy river! I think we were in there for 45 minutes the other day. She just sits back and enjoys the ride. She loves looking at other kids, so the pool is the perfect place for her. Here are a few pictures from Chicago and the past few weeks.
